Het Koningshuis en Den Haag: Koninklijke Stad aan Zee<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Den Haag wordt ook wel de hofstad genoemd \u2014 en dat is niet voor niets. Al eeuwenlang is de stad nauw verbonden met het Nederlandse koningshuis. Hoewel Amsterdam officieel de hoofdstad is, woont en werkt de koninklijke familie vooral in Den Haag en omgeving.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Het paleis Noordeinde<\/strong>, midden in het centrum van de stad, is het werkpaleis van koning Willem-Alexander. Achter de statige gevel gaan kantoren en vergaderzalen schuil waar de koning ministers ontvangt, ambassadeurs verwelkomt en belangrijke staatszaken bespreekt. Het paleis wordt nog steeds actief gebruikt, maar de bijbehorende paleistuin is gewoon open voor publiek \u2014 een oase van rust in de stad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Niet ver van Den Haag, in Wassenaar, ligt paleis Huis ten Bosch<\/strong>: de offici\u00eble woonplaats van de koninklijke familie. Het is een koninklijk thuis, omgeven door bossen, waar geschiedenis en modern gezinsleven samenkomen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Ook op Prinsjesdag speelt Den Haag een centrale rol. Elk jaar rijdt de Gouden Koets vanaf paleis Noordeinde naar de Ridderzaal op het Binnenhof, waar de koning de troonrede uitspreekt. Die dag kleurt de stad oranje en stroomt vol met toeschouwers die een glimp van het koninklijke spektakel willen opvangen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

In Den Haag voel je dus de koninklijke geschiedenis op elke straathoek: in de paleizen, de pleinen en de tradities die nog steeds voortleven.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
