The Royal Christmas Fair in The Hague is one of the largest and most atmospheric Christmas markets in the Netherlands. In 2025, the ninth edition will take place from Friday, December 4, to Wednesday, December 23, daily from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event is free to attend and will be held on the historic Lange Voorhout, right in the center of The Hague.
What can you expect?
Lots of cozy Christmas huts with artisanal products, Christmas decorations, delicacies, and local specialties.
Atmospheric lighting with thousands of LED lights and crackling fires that create a magical Christmas atmosphere.
A program for young and old with Christmas choirs, storytellers, children’s activities, musical performances, and an almost daily visit from the one and only Santa Claus.
Local entrepreneurs will be given a platform via Haagse Schatten, where you can buy unique Christmas hampers and products.
Accessibility
The Christmas market is easily accessible by public transport, bicycle, and on foot from The Hague Central Station. Tram lines 1, 9, and 17 and bus lines 22, 24, and 28 stop nearby. Parking is available in parking garages such as Interparking Museumkwartier, Q-park Noordeinde, and ParkBee Haagsche Hof.
